Fancy a chance to win £25,000? Play Footie5 for free today by predicting MLS scores!
Across the pond they might call it something different, but Major League Soccer has been keeping the football fun going this summer. Footie5 is our free-to-play game which offers you the chance to win a £25,000 jackpot by predicting the scores in five fixtures from the USA’s top division.
This week, we’ve got games featuring some familiar faces. Wayne Rooney’s DC United face Toronto in one of the selected fixtures, while his former Manchester United team-mate Nani will also be looking for a result when his Orlando City team take on Columbus Crew.
Another former MUFC star will also be in action, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s LA Galaxy play San Jose Earthquakes. Some great team names, but how are you supposed to predict the scores if we don’t watch the games every week?
That’s where our handy tips come in. Our MLS expert Paul Brown has been through the chosen fixtures and offered up his own predictions for the scores, which you can check out below.
Use his picks as a guide before entering your own scores for the chance to win that jackpot. Even if you only get 4 scores correct, you can still win a £2,000 runner-up prize!

Paul Brown’s Major League Soccer predictions:
New York FC 1-1 Philadelphia Union
NYFC have lost just once all season, but love a draw. They may have to settle for a share of the spoils once again when they entertain Eastern Conference top dogs Philadelphia Union at the Yankee Stadium.
Columbus Crew 0-2 Orlando City
Columbus Crew are in freefall, with 9 defeats in their last 11 games. Orlando are no great shakes, but have the stand out player in Nani. They can inflict more misery on Columbus here.
New England Revolution 2-0 Houston Dynamo
New England are on a roll since appointing wily old coach Bruce Arena. Houston often suffer with travel sickness and another defeat on the road looks likely.
DC United 2-1 Toronto
DC have been solid but not spectacular in recent Months, but they can grind out a home win here. Toronto are in danger of slipping out of play-off contention and are weakened by Gold Cup call ups.
San Jose Earthquakes 1-1 LA Galaxy
It’s not quite Real Madrid v Barcelona , but the ‘California Clasico’ is one of the biggest rivalries in MLS. San Jose and Galaxy are both in decent form and could be tough to split here.
